Ways We Help

  • Rescue

Whether it is the naval family moving out of the country and need to re-home their Maine Coon kitten, or the litter of puppies found on the streets of Tijuana, we do our best to help. Sadly, our shelters in Southern California are being bombarded with pets being returned and we are doing our best to communicate with these shelters and save as many as we can until current legislation catches up with the need.

We are also active in the humane Trap & Release community of San Diego. This is an effective way to reduce the overpopulation of feral and abandoned cats. It is estimated that San Diego has over 3,000 feral cat communities that survive partially due to compassionate people feeding and caring for the sick and injured. We aim to help reduce that.

  • Foster

Fostering saves lives. Without our current fosters we would not be able to help as many animals. One of our goals for 2022 is to locate a permanent facility that we can turn into a sanctuary to rehabilitate and house more animals during the rescue and adoption process. If you cannot adopt, considering being a foster parent! Fostering is extremely rewarding. You can welcome these special animals into your home and know that, when they are ready, we will take of finding them their forever home. We provide all the necessities and you supply all the love. ❤️

If you’re interested, please email us at adoptions@grandmabettysanimalrescue.com for an application. We promise to get back to you promptly.

  • Adopt

We work hard to find the perfect home for each individual animal. If there are animals with behavior issues we work with them until they are adoptable and ready for their new home.

All prospective adopters will be asked to complete an adoption application and to speak with one of our adoption counselors. We will also require a virtual home visit via FaceTime. We will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours. We strive to ensure the best match for all parties.
